Taphouse 41 Burgers Best in Sioux Falls? Try One They Are Hard to Beat!

If you haven't had one of the luscious burgers at Taphouse 41 in the Western Mall you haven't had one of the best burgers in the area! My BFF Georgie and I were celebrating her new vehicle with a midweek lunch and when deciding where to go we thought about one of the new places in the Western Mall which we hadn't tried yet.

We walked into the cool, classy, musical environment of Taphouse 41 and seated ourselves. The server was initially a bit slow in coming over, but we soon discovered it was worth the wait. The huge brew and bourbon menu was tempting, but we stuck with a refreshing ice tea, as we had errands to run. Georgie was impressed that they carry Bulleit Bourbon, her late brother Gus's favorite. Our congenial server then gave us the rundown on their limited, but inviting food menu.

I chose the Standard burger and added bacon, to go with the lettuce, tomato, vidalia onion, roast garlic mayo and their incredible, delectably spicy house pickles. They should sell the pickles as a side, they are just that good! Georgie went with the Baja burger with smoked pepper jack cheese, creamed avocado, tomato salsa and lime creme. We ordered a side of the magnificent fried potato salad, (no it is not good for you!) to split.

The burgers came to the table piping hot and huge! We both cut them in half in an effort to bend them to our will. The towering beef creations were sublimely meaty, juicy and messy. With every bite, the other supporting ingredients burst out of the perfectly toasted eggy, light-as-air buns. But we had no problem managing to gobble every bite with the help of forks and fingers. Make sure you ask for extra napkins, you'll need them!

What you probably won't need is an additional meal later in the day. I know we didn't. Bravo Taphouse 41! We'll be back for more burgers, brews and perhaps even bourbon!
