Showing skin in a sexy, safety pin dress wasn't the only way Lady Gaga made a splash in Milan this week. The Mother Monster toted a fake machine gun while onstage for her Born This Way Ball tour on Tuesday (Oct. 2), which will no doubt set off a storm of criticism.
When in Milano, do as the Milanese do, and that means put your best fashion foot forward. Lady Gaga was in Milan, located in her ancestral country of Italy and she channeled fellow Italian, designer diva Donatella Versace, while wearing a safety pin dress that showed off plenty of her tattoos.

Experts have weighed in to celebrate the Gaga-generated movement for how much it can help girls struggling with their weight or who have distorted images of their bodies.
The rivalry between Lady Gaga and Madonna, which was started, stoked and supported by Madonna with her near-constant onstage disses of Gaga, nearly came to an end in the Bronx last month. Rumor has it that Madonna extended an olive branch and offered native New Yorker (and Yankee fan) Gaga a chance to duet onstage when Madge played Yankee Stadium. Gaga turned her down, though!
