George Thorogood and the Destroyers came to Sioux Falls on their 40th anniversary tour Saturday night and helped bring, by our estimates, over 60,000 people out for night two of JazzFest in Yankton Trail Park.

Described as “Stevie Ray Vaughan trapped in a woman’s body with Janis Joplin screaming to get out," Kelly Richey brings her hard edged blues rock to JazzFest.

The Brandon Sprague Blues Band from Deadwood, SD came to Sioux Falls to take part in the 2014 JazzFest, bringing their own style and sound to the festivities

Wow.  What a week in Sioux Falls.  With the appropriate revelry surrounding Jazzfest relieving a little pressure, very little can block out the tragedies.

Blues, funk, soul, Americana, and Mummies (!?!) highlighted a beautiful weather night in Sioux Falls on day 1 of JazzFest.

Showing again the talented people we have in our region, the JazzFest second stage will offer a diverse musical experience from blues, to folk, to jazz, to Americana to hip hop.

I'm as guilty as the next guy when it comes to being over-critical when it comes to national bands coming to town, when we should all just be happy that promoters will take the chance to bring live music and bands actually WANT to come to Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

With JazzFest underway at Yankton Trail Park, Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says motorists need to drive with caution.  Clemens says officers will be at the Park during the festival. Parking is available inside Yankton Trail Park...
