Honey Boo Boo

As hard as you've worked to ignore 'Honey Boo Boo' and the rest of the Shannon clan from their ubiquitous TLC reality series in recent years, the network has made it that much easier, and for good reason. The notoriously reality-skewing network has officially canceled 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' altogether, following troubling reports that “Mama June” Shannon had resumed a relationship with a convicted child molester.

This morning in The Dirt I mentioned the matriarch of the 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' clan was wed over the weekend to Sugar Bear.  Sugar Bear finally made an honest woman of Mama June.  What an exciting moment for the whole family.  Honey Boo Boo's parents are finally married...

We're hard pressed to think of a better way to showcase the two main genres of reality television than this side-by-side comparison of the Thompson (of 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' fame) and the Kardashian families' Christmas cards.

Adam Levine recently said Honey Boo Boo was a factor in the “decay of Western civilization," and nothing bears that out more than the fact that her show and others like it have led to the popularity of so-called "hillbilly porn." Adam Levine went on 'Chelsea Lately' last night to clear the air surrounding his comments that Honey Boo Boo is the "decay of Western civilization."
