Rachel Coleman was sentenced today (Friday April 11) for assault, and DWI stemming from the October 2012 incident in Sioux Falls in which Trooper Andrew Steen suffered life-threatening injuries.

Andrew Steen was severely injured nearly a month ago in a hit and run here in Sioux Falls and continues his recovery.

The 25-year old woman accused of running over a state trooper 15 days ago made her first court appearance in Canton, SD this morning. Rachel Coleman is being held on a half-million dollar cash only bond.
