So You Think You Can Dance is in full swing and the performances are getting better every week.

This week Serge and Carly stood out in their contemporary piece choreographed by Mandy Moore to 'Foolish Games' by Jewel. It was a beautiful number. Can I just say Carly must have abdominal strength that could break a cement block because that back bend thing she did at the end was amazing!

Jacque and Zack's jazz number to 'Back to Black' was slinky and sexy and fun to watch. Choreographed by Sonya Tayeh, I never know what to think of her stuff.  Sometimes I really like it and sometimes I don't. This I liked.  And of course, Zack is a tapper so I root for him.

The real stand out performances of the night were the two group pieces. The top 16 were divided in half and one group was put with Sonya Tayeh and the other with Travis Wall.

Again, Sonya makes me nervous and her piece was unusual and ugly at times, but told a great story. Her piece was to music by Bjork.

Travis' group just had an awesome routine. The musicality to One Republic was great and the stunts were amazing. And for some reason the guys wearing guy liner just did something for me .

Here are the group routines.

In the end Marcquet and Brooklyn went home. Kind of a weird turn of events that they are ballroom partners that tried out together and went home the same week.

Things will get real interesting next week when four dancers get sent home!
