After two weeks of the 2016 Summit League women's basketball schedule, South Dakota State is the lone team with an unblemished record in conference play.

The Jackrabbits (13-3/3-0) look to extend a four-game win streak as they play in Fort Wayne Wednesday night.

The Mastodons (4-12/0-3) have lost six straight overall and are one of two winless teams (NDSU) in Summit League play after two weeks. Despite their struggles, IPFW takes care of the basketball and is among the best in the conference on defense, averaging 12 steals a game.

They are led by senior Kamilah Carter's 17 points a game and back-to-back double-doubles be redshirt sophomore Kenna Gary, who pulled down 16 rebounds in a game against Western Illinois last week.

Tipoff is 6:00 PM Wednesday night in Fort Wayne.

The Jackrabbits return home to host South Dakota Sunday afternoon in Brookings.

SDSU and USD were picked one-two in the Summit League pre-season poll after playing for the conference tournament championship last season.

The Coyotes are led by the Summit League's pre-season player of the year Nicole Seekamp. The senior leads the conference in assists and is in the top ten in scoring.  She scored a season-high 26 points in a win over Omaha last weekend.

Sunday's game is a match-up of the top two scoring teams in the Summit League. Tipoff in Brookings is 2:00 PM.

The Jackrabbits won their only game last week, beating Omaha 68-58 on the strength of a career-high 23 points (including six 3-pointers) from freshman Madison Guebert.

The SDSU defense limited the Mavericks to three second quarter points.

I talked with head coach Aaron Johnston about the win and this week's match-ups:
