South Dakota State is on the move in the Summit League standings.  After losing three of their first five conference games to start conference play, the Jackrabbits have won three straight, to move to just a game back in the standings with one game to play in week five.

The third straight victory came in impressive fashion Thursday night in Frost Arena, where SDSU made first place Fort Wayne look very human, holding the top scoring and 3-point shooting team in the conference to just 35 percent from the floor and 25 percent from long range.

The Jackrabbits hit 10 3's, were plus-12 on the boards, and outscored the Mastodons by 10 in the paint, after giving up 42 inside points to IPFW in the first meeting.

Saturday's opponent for the Jacks is last place IUPUI.  The Jaguars have lost all eight Summit League games this year, and have just one conference win in their last 24 games.

Despite all that, the Jags were within three points of SDSU in the final 3:30 of their first meeting of the season, and shot 62 percent against the Jacks in the first half of that game.

IUPUI center Mitch Patton was 7-of-11 for 14 points in the first meeting, guard Ian Chiles was 7-of-14 for 21 points, but Chiles has only played once in the last four because of an injury.  He is expected to play in Brookings.

SDSU coach Scott Nagy on the match-up with IUPUI:

Tipoff is Saturday at 4:00pm in Brookings.
