Stump Removal Underway in Sioux Falls
Let the stump-grinding begin.
Sioux Falls City officials say a contractor has begun grinding the stumps on city property and in the public right-of-way that are left over from the April ice storm.
Public Works Director Mark Cotter says TFR Enterprises will grind and remove more than 1,250 stumps at no cost to property owners.
Cotter says the stump-grinding operations are expected to take until early October.
If you have a stump or stumps in the boulevard outside your home, he says you will be notified ahead of time by an automated telephone call.
Once the contractor is finished, they will leave a door-hanger notifying you that you are responsible for further maintenance of the area.
