Stephen Colbert ‘Oopsie-Daisy Homophobe’ [VIDEO]
Stephen Colbert, host of ‘The Colbert Report,’ poked fun at country singer Brad Paisley‘s newest song ‘Accidental Racist’ –in which Brad basically tries to solve racism by teaming up with LL Cool J and doing things like apologizing for that one time he wore a Confederate flag T-shirt because he loves Lynyrd Skynyrd.
To sum things up, with lyrics like “If you don’t judge my gold chains / I’ll forget the iron chains,” it’s all pretty awkward.
In response, Colbert took on the gay marriage issue in similar fashion, joining forces with the always adorable Alan Cumming for a song called ‘Oopsie-Daisy Homophobe.’
Even with Colbert singing “I’m proud of my hetero cred / but not everything Rush Limbaugh said” and Cumming rapping “If you don’t judge my parades / I’ll forget what you said about monkeys and AIDS,” it’s still 100 times less awkward than ‘Accidental Racist.’ Not that such a thing is difficult to accomplish.
Watch the entire video for all the hilarity — and don’t forget, if anything you do or say offends somebody, just explain that you’re a Lynyrd Skynyrd fan. That makes it all better.
