SIOUX FALLS, SD -- The Sioux Falls Stampede announced Tuesday that goaltender David Jacobson has been traded to the expansion Bloomington Thunder in exchange for a 2015 USHL Entry Draft pick and future considerations.

Jacobson spent the past two seasons with the Herd, appearing in 44 games while posting a 2.42 goals against average and a .917 save percentage. Prior to joining the Stampede, the Los Angeles, CA native played with the New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs of the EJCHL.

The Stampede will now enter training camp with two goalies on the roster. Players will report to Sioux Falls this weekend and begin camp at the beginning of next week in preparation for the 2014-15 season. The official roster will be announced next week when camp begins.

The Herd’s first preseason game is slated for Tuesday, September 9th in Omaha. The first regular season game is Saturday, September 27th at Bloomington against the Thunder and the home opener is set for Saturday, October 11th at 7:05 PM against the Waterloo Black Hawks.
