Pass the syrup. It's time for the 58th Annual Pancake Days.

Pancake Days, the Lion's Club of Sioux Falls flagship event, started in 1957 at the Coliseum. The line stretched 2 ½ blocks and patrons lined up 4 deep. It took almost 2 hours to get served. They persevered with only 4 old cast iron grills. According to downtownsiouxfalls.com, Lion Al Schock invited Aunt Jemima to the event. She accepted the invitation and presented with a Black Hills Gold Key to the city.

Fast-forward to 2014, and the super-grills can can make 48 pancakes in three minutes.
