One of South Dakota's favorite wineries has been recognized by the nations wine industry for 2018.

Black Hills-based Prairie Berry Winery is in the national spotlight. Prairie Berry wines captured six awards at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the largest wine competition of American wines in the world. They include Calamity Jane, Raspberry Honeywine, Uncle Ralph’s Rhubarb, Anna Pesä Meritage 2015, Wild Bill, and Lawrence Elk.

Calamity Jane received the highest award in its class with a double gold medal. These South Dakota wines were among 6,960 entries from 35 states.
