South Dakota will be home later this summer to the nations first ever Junior Dart Tournament.

The tournament is designed to help kids ages 8-20 with their math, probability, and critical thinking skills according to Nate Knuth who runs the Junior Dart League in Sioux Falls. Knuth has also been tabbed to be the director of the state tournament.

Knuth says, the league started eight years ago with just 8 kids throwing darts. The Sioux Falls Junior Dart League has over 40 kids register to play as of today.

Kids might want to take advantage of these cold winter days to hone their dart throwing skills. The Junior Dart Tournament is slated to happen later this year, July 24-26, 2015 at the Cedar Shore Resort in Oacoma South Dakota.
