South Dakota State Coach Scott Nagy Talks About Nate Wolters [AUDIO]

It's draft day in the NBA, and former South Dakota State guard Nate Wolters is waking up this morning knowing that he will be among the 60 players taken during the two-round event, he just doesn't know when he'll be picked and where he'll end up.

And neither does anyone else.

The all-time leading scorer in Jackrabbit history, and St. Cloud, Minnesota native, has been penciled in anywhere from as high as 29th to as low as 42nd, to teams like the Thunder, Grizzlies, Blazers, Sixers, Wizards, and his home state Timberwolves.

His skill set has been greatly debated by draft pundits over the past several weeks, but one many who needs no convincing about what Wolters has to offer is his college head coach, Scott Nagy:

Sports Illustrated's draft expert Seth Davis had this to say about Wolters this week:

An extremely smart basketball player.
He has improved his shot and has a good runner.
My main concern is whether he can guard a quick guard. He has a chance to make it in the NBA depending on which team he is with.
If you look at his stats this year before he hurt his ankle, he shot like 48 percent from three.
I'm not saying he'll be great, but he's definitely an NBA player.
His first step is quicker than people realize.

That's the up side. Is there a down side to this talented point guard? Nagy doesn't see one, and can't believe others who say Wolters' game has flaws.

Wolters' draft stock has bounced back after what some NBA 'experts' say was a disappointing offensive performance in the Jacks NCAA Tournament game against Michigan in March: 10 points on just 3-of-14 shooting, and no three pointers. That led some to speculate his value to NBA teams was down.

His college head coach sees the Michigan game from an entirely different perspective.
