South Dakota Ranks Fourth in Beer Consumption

For the second time in just over a month South Dakota is near the best in the nation for something that involves getting drunk.

According to a real institute called the Beer Institute, the Rushmore State is #4 in beer consumption per capita. The average person in the state drank, bonged, or shotgunned 38.9 gallons of beer in 2012.

This isn't really surprising since just over a month ago South Dakota was said to have the fourth most bars per capita of any state in the country.
