‘Case of the Monday’s’ Is a Real Thing. And Women Have it Worse.
So you think "A Case of the Monday's" was only a line from the movie "Office Space" huh?
A "case of the Monday's" is not just something your school age kids go through every Sunday night when forced with the thought of having to go back to school the next day.
According to a recent study, 71% of women and 62% of men suffer from a case of the Monday's on a regular basis too.
Both men and women show legitimate signs of anxiety and even depression on Sunday nights, because they simply hate the fact of having to go back to work on Monday.
So much so, that about one-third drink alcohol at home the night before just to cope. Another one-third of people have to give themselves a pep talk to get out of bed on Monday mornings. (News flash, if it has gotten to that point, it’s time for a new gig!)
A case of the Monday’s is so bad, that one in five people who suffer from it are notorious for playing the "fake sick" card on a consistent basis, because they just can't muster up the desire or energy to crawl into work some Monday's and fill out all those TPS reports.
Heck, maybe you’re at home right now reading this with a case of the Monday’s?
All I can say is, hopefully your boss isn’t. If he or she is, you might be experiencing a case of the Tuesday’s, Wednesday, Thursday’s and Friday’s very soon!
