The puzzle is not completely solved, but another piece was put in place today.  Authorities on Thursday located the 3-year old son of a juvenile who ran away from a residential treatment program in Sioux Falls earlier this week, while continuing to ask for the public’s help in locating the boy’s mother.

Kimberly Guerra who is 17 years old left her son at a friend’s home on Wednesday October 2.  The day before, Guerra and her son left a program that serves pregnant women and mothers with small children.

Kimberly is a 17-year old Hispanic female. She is 5-feet-2 inches tall and weighs approximately 135 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.  According to the Department of Corrections, they released the name of the juvenile based on the department’s responsibility as guardian and the department’s belief that releasing the juvenile’s name is necessary to protect her from harm.
