
Snow Covered Roads Lead to Fatal Accidents
According to Argus 911, the snow-covered highways led to 2 fatal accidents Tuesday morning.
Police said a woman from Akron, Iowa died in a single car accident on Interstate 29 south of Beresford.
Tonya Marie Anderson, 38, was driving north in a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado when the vehicle went out of control and rolled, according to a news release. The roadway was slippery from freezing drizzle. Anderson, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle and received fatal injuries, according to the news release.
In addition, a second fatal accident was confirmed in Union County. No details on that accident have been released.
