Victim, Witnesses Not Cooperating in Sioux Falls Shooting Investigation
Sioux Falls Police are having a difficult time getting information about a weekend shooting that resulted in a 28-year-old Luverne, Minnesota woman being shot in the head.
"We had a group of people that were in a trailer court in northwest Sioux Falls," according to Police Spokesman Sam Clemens. "A couple of individuals got in a minivan and began to leave. As they started driving away, somebody shot at the van. The woman driver was actually hit in the back of the head. She was taken to the hospital and is currently in stable condition. At this point, we are still trying to piece together what happened. We are not getting a lot of cooperation from the people that were there or the victim."
Clemens is asking the public to aid in the investigation.
"We know that somebody saw what happened. We know that people know who was responsible. Right now, we are not getting those details. If someone has details about what took place, we ask them to call Crimestoppers. That way we can get the information and they can remain anonymous."
Clemens says the number to call is 877-367-7007.
