If you haven't noticed,  Sioux Falls City Street crews are hard at work on the streets - not clearing snow. Rather, they are filling potholes.

Sioux Falls City Street Manager Gaylynn Huber says the focus right now is to fix the streets.

"We've had some moisture. Then it warms up and then freezes. All of the weather changes create potholes. We are sending out crews. I have four out this week every day. We're going after them. The public is responding by reporting potholes around Sioux Falls. I think just because the weather is warmer and more people are driving - the calls are coming in non stop. We took about 40 calls yesterday and already about 15 calls today."

Huber says filling a pothole doesn't take much time.

"It doesn't take very long. Usually the holes are (since we're talking about the Summit League) about the size of a basketball. So, it doesn't take more than a shovel or two  and then throw the material in. The problem right now is there are lots of potholes out there."

If you want to report a pothole, Gaylynn Huber encourages you to the call the pothole number at 367-8002.
