Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says six pounds of marijuana were discovered in the mail!

"Our postal inspectors found a suspicious package. They then contacted police. We then had a drug dog to check it. That's when we found six pounds of marijuana inside. Right now, the postal inspectors are working with our drug task force. At this point, we don't have any arrests. But, we are still working this case."

Clemens says Canine Officer Rio was able to sniff out the marijuana.

"This is just another great example of why we have Canines and how good and resourceful they are."

Clemens says the people sending drugs in the mail attempt to hide the odor by inserting other materials in the packages. But, that didn't fool Canine Officer Rio!
