Sioux Falls Police have once again been busy writing tickets after the latest big snowfall that took place in the city on Monday. But not quite as many citations as the first major snow event of the season.

648 tickets were issued for snow alert violations during this last blast from Mother Nature.

The winter storm that socked the city two weeks ago resulted in over 1,300 tickets.

Sam Clemens, Sioux Falls Police Spokesman says the drop in ticketing is normal, after residents are reminded of the City’s winter plowing, towing and ticketing process from the season’s first snowfall.

Police however do want to remind residents not to park on roads until after they’re been plowed. Failure to remove your car before the street is cleared of snow will almost certainly result in your vehicle getting plowed in, ticketed, and may even be towed at the owner’s expense.
