Sioux Falls police continue their investigation of an armed robbery and assault at a convenience store early Sunday.

Officer Sam Clemens says police were called to the Freedom Value Center on West 12th Street, where a male suspect had come into the store around 4:18 am:

The 40-year-old clerk told police he fell to the floor and the man fled the store without getting any cash.

The suspect was described as an African male, six feet tall and 180 to 200 pounds with dreadlock-style hair. He wore a white jacket with red trim, dark-colored jean shorts and high-top sneakers.

Clemens says the store has surveillance cameras, but detectives haven't been able to see the video yet.
