A Sioux Falls woman faces a variety of charges after police say she was driving under the influence of drugs Tuesday night with her two-year-old son in the front seat.

"Mom was driving around downtown when an officer noticed she didn't have any lights on her car," Police Information Officer Sam Clemens said. "He then noticed she was driving erratically. The woman was stopped and arrested for the DWI. Officers found some meth and marijuana inside the car. When they approached the car, the woman's two-year-old son was in the the front seat with her. The child was not buckled in or restrained."

Clemens says 30-year-old Kelly Rae Wood of Sioux Falls was arrested and charged with DWI, child endangerment, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

The child was taken into protective custody.
