Sioux Falls Police Break Up Weekend Party
A case that began over the weekend when a resident of a west-side mobile home court in Sioux Falls reported a disturbance ended with two adults arrested and several juveniles cited for curfew violation.
Lieutenant Galen Smidt says a resident in the area of the 600 block of North Todd Place called shortly before 3:30 Saturday morning and reported hearing yelling and screaming.
Smidt says when police arrived, several people jumped out a back window and ran, with an officer in pursuit.
Smidt says the officer arrested a visitor at what turned out to be a large party on drug possession charges.
He says Joshua Charles Row, 20, of Baltic was charged with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia, fleeing police and resisting arrest.
Several underage people in the home were cited for curfew violations and the resident, 19-year-old Kody Reed Kohn, was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and underage possession of alcoholic beverages.
Smidt says some shots were fired in the area after the party was broken up, but a search turned up no shell casings and no injuries, so charges were not filed.
