Sioux Falls Police Arrest Two Women on Prostitution Charges

Sioux Falls Police Officer Sam Clemens says street crimes officers found an ad promoting prostitution on the internet and ended up arranging to meet two women in central Sioux Falls.

"It was just after 1:00 AM Tuesday when the women showed up. One of them was the person that had agreed to meet with the officers. She was arrested for prostitution. The other one drove her friend to the meeting place. She was arrested for pimping."

Clemens says the arrests are aimed to reduce sex trafficking in the Sioux Falls area.

"We are certainly giving it a lot more focus and attention. The goal is to try to eliminate the women that are being trafficked against their will. We want to find them and get them out of the situation."

The two women arrested are from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
