Sioux Falls Man Sentenced for Title Fraud
A Sioux Falls man who pleaded guilty to a felony fraud charge has been given a suspended prison sentence and ordered to make restitution.
The State Department of Revenue says Patrick J. Ford, 47, pleaded guilty to making a false statement on an application for a certificate of motor vehicle title.
Ford was ordered to pay more than $14,000 in restitution to his victims, along with $504 in court costs.
The judge suspended a three-year sentence in the South Dakota State Penitentiary, on the conditions that Ford spend 60 days in jail, make restitution and be on supervised probation for three years.
