The Sioux Falls Police say a local man has officially been charged with robbing three casinos in less than a week.

"Angel Provincial was arrested last Friday for a warrant for one casino robbery. After he was arrested, we had some information that tied him to two other casino robberies," explained Public Information Officer Sam Clemens.

"On Monday afternoon a warrant was issued for his arrest. Obviously since he was in jail it was served. He has now been officially arrested and charged with three casino robberies. That leaves one more casino robbery we are still working on. That one we don't believe he was responsible for."

Clemens says thanks to the public and good police work their investigation produced results.

"We had some tips from the public that gave us a name. There was good surveillance video from all three casinos. The detectives working it were able to put everything together. It was a good pretty way to end it. It was unfortunate we had to have three businesses that were robbed in that short amount of time. At least we were able to make an arrest in a short amount of time as well."

Aside from the three casino robberies, Provincial has also been charged with possession of a firearm by a former drug offender.
