The Brookings County Sheriff's Department reports two home invasions in the Toronto area, northeast of Brookings.  A Sioux Falls man was arrested and other suspects are being sought.

Five suspects got out at three separate residences, forcing their way into two of them.  Police say the held victims at gun point and knife point and robbed them, demanding cash and drugs.  Police were notified by victims at 2:00 AM on Wednesday June 15, 2016.

Sheriff's Department Investigations Sergeant Darin Hayder says a stolen cell phone was used to track one of the suspects to the Madison area where an arrest was made.

32-year-old Kenneth Bonwell of Sioux Falls was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree burglary, two counts of second-degree robbery,  and two counts of aggravated assault. Bonwell is being held on a $75,000 cash bond. Other suspects have been identified but are still at large.

All five were seen leaving the area in a white passenger car, possibly a Ford or Honda with dark windows and damage to the driver's side rear wheel well.

KJJQ radio of Brookings says there were five young children present in one of the residences but they slept through the incident.
