Sioux Falls Police Officer Sam Clemens says a Sioux Falls man was picked up following a road rage incident on Monday.

"One car cut off another car is how it began. The victim in this case honked her horn and was behind this car. They were apparently upset the woman honked at them. She noticed the passenger was hanging out the window yelling and gesturing. It was then when she saw he had a handgun. The victim was afraid he might shoot the gun at her. She didn't know what he was going to do."

Clemens says 35-year-old Jesse Stone was arrested on aggravated assault charges.

If you're involved in a road rage incident, Clemens offers this advice.

"Call 911 right away. Following another car is probably not the best idea. Get a license plate number and description of the car and the people inside the vehicle. It's really trying to be a good witness. Get yourself to a safe place so you will be out of harm's way."
