Sioux Falls Police arrested two men in connection with a missing car and assault on Tuesday night.

"One of the guys has a girlfriend who's car was missing," Police Spokesman Sam Clemens told us.

"The man saw it outside an apartment complex in southwest Sioux Falls. He was going to call police and tell them he found the car. He saw somebody get into the car. The boyfriend knew the car was going to leave so he pulled his car and blocked it."

"The person that got into the missing car went to a different car and pulled out a sawed off shotgun. He pointed it at the two men in the car. They backed away and called police. We were able to find the two suspects as they were leaving."

Clemens says the two men face various charges.

"Possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled weapon and aggravated assault charges."

The two suspects have been identified as 23-year-old Eric Warren and 31-year-old Nate Selwyn. Both of them are from Sioux Falls.
