Police say a Sioux Falls man is accused of threatening his girlfriend with a handgun after earlier stealing her cell phone.

Officer Sam Clemens says it was around 8:00 p.m. Tuesday  when the two argued at the woman's residence in the 800 block of West 12th Street.

He says the man took the phone and left, but returned around 10:40 p.m. When he knocked on the door, the woman believed he was intoxicated and told him to leave.

Clemens says the woman told police her boyfriend then pulled a handgun from a pocket, pointed it at her and said he would shoot her.  The woman then used another phone to call 911.

Clemens says the man left as she called police, but he was located near 15th and Prairie.

Clemens says Moses Taban Aleardo, 41, was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic aggravated assault, possession of a loaded firearm while intoxicated, petty theft and possession of stolen property.
