A bicycle-related organization has again given an award to Sioux Falls for being friendly to two-wheeled transportation.

The city is known for, among other features, its bike trail, but the League of American Bicyclists says the city is a Bronze Bicycle-Friendly Community, a designation that's good for four years.

In presenting the award, League of American Bicyclists President Andy Clarke says the city's investment in bicycling will be returned many times over in terms of health, environmental and quality-of-life benefits.

The organization says there are now 291 Bicycle-Friendly Communities in 48 states.
