MIX 97-3 News person Beth Warden reports that at 2:00 Thursday morning the Sioux Falls Police Department responded to a reported robbery at (24th and Minnesota) 1601 S Minnesota Ave - Freedom Value Center.

The initial investigation found that 3 male suspects wearing masks and dark clothing entered the store.  One suspect brandished a handgun while demanding money.

As the store employee was complying with the order the other suspects went behind the counter and retrieved tobacco products.  The suspects fled the store running east across Minnesota Ave.

At 3:33 a.m. officers responded to a reported robbery at (57th and Western) 1927 W 57th St. – Holiday Stationstore.  The reporting party gave descriptions of the suspects that were similar to the earlier robbery.

An alert responding officer stopped a vehicle as it left the area.  The three male occupants fit the description of both robberies.  Items were located inside the vehicle which matched the items taken from both stores.

Evan James Kremin, 20yrs old, Antonio Jordan McWilliams, 19yrs old, Estevan Velesquez, 18yrs old, were each arrested for 2 counts of first degree robbery, 2 counts of aggravated assault and 1 count of possession of stolen firearm.
