Shots Fired Near Augustana University in Sioux Falls, Resident Uncooperative
Sioux Falls police are investigating shots fired in the neighborhood just west of Augustana University. Multiple residents heard gunshots and called police.
Authorities found a man who had just been in a fight and didn't want to talk.
According to Sergeant Tommy Schmitz the gunshots were reported to have happened on Monday, August 29 at 11:51 AM in the 2200 block of South Euclid Avenue. Multiple witnesses reported several black males being involved in the incident:
An involved vehicle occupied several times had fled the scene prior to SFPD arrival and officers quickly determined a residence in the 2200 block of S. Euclid as also being involved. A resident of that address had minor scrapes and cuts, he confirmed he had just been in a fight and had been shot at but was uncooperative in providing information on the other subject(s) involved.
A home not believed to be targeted in the drive by shooting was hit by at least 2 of the bullets. No injuries were reported and the investigation continues.
