Sioux Falls police continue to investigate a shooting in northwest Sioux Falls. The shooting took place in the 4200 block of N. Alaska in extreme Northwest Sioux Falls.

The shooting took place at about 2:30 p.m. Monday December 2nd.

We have updated information on the story.  According to Keloand TV News:

Schools in Dell Rapids are back to normal, after students were told to stay inside much of Tuesday morning while law enforcement looked for someone in the small town.

Authorities believed that person could be connected to Monday's deadly shooting in Sioux Falls.

The schools were operating under a "secured perimeter," which means nobody can enter or leave the building. Parents were notified of this through a phone message.

According to Argus Leader,

Two people were arrested near Dell Rapids on Tuesday morning in connection with Monday’s shooting in northwest Sioux Falls, Minnehaha County Sheriff Mike Milstead said.Milstead said one person was taken into custody at a business south of Dell Rapids and another east of town at a farm. He said the two people are connected to the shooting that left one person dead and another seriously injured at the 4200 block of N. Alaska Avenue.

On Monday, a father and son were shot on the 4200 block of N. Alaska Avenue in northwestern Sioux Falls. According to Sioux Falls Police officials the son was killed and the father remains hospitalized.
