The last we saw Shia LaBeouf he was watching a movie marathon of his own movies.

Now, he and his artist posse, Ronkko and Turner, are occupying an elevator for 24 hours.

The trio are set to give a talk at Oxford University tonight at 8 so for 24 hours before and after they are chilling out in an elevator at EC English Oxford in Gloucester Green.

People are obviously lining up just to see what the heck is going on. Anyone can take a ride with them. Up and down the elevator...all day.

You might be asking why? Why is this art? What is the point? Well, they said this is their way of giving the soapbox they were given to give their talk to the people. But I think most people just want a selfie with Louis Stevens.

Well, and in a weird local turn of events, South Dakota native Dianna Anderson is studying abroad at Oxford. She actually rode the elevator with Shia and his pals.

In an e-mail she told me:

Hi Natasha,

As requested, attached is the photo my friend Ross took (i'm in the blue shirt/sweater)! I'm a Master's student in Women's Studies here at Oxford, and I'm originally from Sioux Falls (my family still lives there, though my dad is in Beresford now). I'm a writer, a bisexual activist, and happy (most of the time) to be representing SoDak abroad.
Shia was wearing a Black Hills sweater when I walked in (after waiting five hours) and he and I chatted about South Dakota politics and Native activism in the state, as well as the current bathroom bill waiting on the governor's desk. It was a really interesting discussion and he seemed very politically aware and passionate about issues of racism and oppression, which was very impressive to me.
So there ya go. What are the odds Shia would be wearing a South Dakota sweatshirt?!?!?! Crazy.
