Seven Teens Arrested After Throwing Rocks at Cars on Arrowhead Parkway. They Even Nailed a Police Car.
Police say throwing rocks at passing vehicles east of Sioux Falls got seven teenaged boys in trouble early Thursday.
Captain Jim Hoekman of the Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office says it was just before 12:30 am when deputies and Sioux Falls Police were called to the 6200 block of East Arrowhead Parkway and the report of rocks being thrown:
Hoekman says the seven, all 14 or 15 years old, were cited into juvenile court for felony vandalism. He says one of the teens lives at that address, and the other six had been there for a sleepover.
Hoekman says three civilian vehicles and the deputy's patrol car were damaged by the rocks that were thrown, but no dollar amount was available yet.
