Professional basketball has proven to be a great way to see the world, and the latest to grab his passport for a hoops adventure overseas is former South Dakota State forward Jordan Dykstra.

According to the Argus Leader, the Rock Valley, Iowa native is heading to Slovakia to play professionally with BK Inter Bratislava, the defending champions of the top league in the Eastern European nation.

While in Brookings, Dykstra was a three-time all-Summit League selection, averaging 16 points and 8 rebounds a game as a senior last season.

Dykstra will head overseas sometime in August, and told the Argus:

It's pretty amazing. It's a blessing to be able to play basketball for a bit longer.

If Dykstra needs any pointers on his new European home, he should give me a call.  After all, I do know the President of Slovakia, Andrej Kiska.
