Scotland Man Accused of Killing Infant Son Goes on Trial

PARKER - Trial is getting under way for a South Dakota man accused of killing his infant son.

Thirty-nine-year-old Chris Miller, of Scotland, has pleaded not guilty to several charges including second-degree murder in the March 2011 death of 4-month-old Jacob Miller, who authorities say was an abused child.

The Daily Republic newspaper reports (http://bit.ly/13HHFZk ) that a jury should be selected by the end of the week. Miller faces life in prison if convicted.
