Ride For Rails Event to Help Improve Great Bear Terrain Park

Sun N Fun Specialty Sports is putting on a fun event to help keep up facilities on our local ski area.

The Ride for Rails will happen on Sunday February 10 out at Great Bear Ski Valley. Rail riders can test their skills and compete for over $3,500 in prizes from numerous ski and snowboard company sponsors.

Registration will end at 12:30 with the event running from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

The event is free but they are recommending a $10 donation, or more if you like, to participate in the event.

All of the money raised from the event will go towards maintaining and buying new equipment for the terrain park at Great Bear. If you ride the rails regularly, you should probably go, give as much as you can, and help make your favorite runs better. It wasn't all that long ago when the terrain park was just the area north of the lift. It's changed a lot over the years, help to change it even more and for the better.

Lift tickets will be required to participate in the event.
