There was only one thing wrong with Sebastian Bach's appearance at The District in Sioux Falls Thursday night; there weren't more people there to see it.

That's understandable when you consider the show didn't come together until about a week ago due to a last minute schedule change for Bach. The crowd that did show up was loud and enthusiastic and was rewarded with some great music! Bach acknowledged the last-minute scheduling of the show, and showed some genuine appreciation for both the fans and The District, for pulling things off on short notice.

Bach delivered a healthy dose of material from his three solo albums, but he did delight  the crowd with Skid Row classics '18 and Life', 'I Remember You', and 'Youth Gone Wild'. He also mixed in a couple of covers: Rush's 'Tom Sawyer', a tribute to his fellow Canadians, and 'Fire' from Jimi Hendrix, a song Bach said reminded him of his mom.

The one thing I'm always struck by when I see this guy is his incredible vocal range. He's been killing it since he fronted Kid Wikkid when he was 14 in his native Toronto, and more than 30 years later he still hitting all of the notes that not only made him into the rock star he is, but also the Broadway performer in shows like Jekyll & Hyde  appeared as Riff Raff in The Rocky Horror Show.

And while we're talking vocals, I was really impressed by Sioux Falls own CORE, who opened the show for Bach.

Jeremy Johnson's lead vocals and lead guitar work were spot on, while James Peters on the bass and Adam Rogge on the drums rounded out this tight trio, that had plenty of edge, but also an abundance of depth in its' lyrics.

The band has cranked out three albums: 2007's We All Fall Down, 2010's St. Judas Day Parade, and this year's Broken Heart Syndrome.
