Report: O’Gorman Basketball Coach Derek Robey is Among Finalists for Dakota Wesleyan Job

Dakota Wesleyan in Mitchell has been looking for a new men's basketball coach since Shane Murphy resigned last month.  Last week, DWU announced they had trimmed the list of finalists to four, but didn't release the names on that short list.

But one local website claims to know who the finalists are.

The finalists, according to HoopDirt.com:

O'Gorman boys coach Derek Robey, a Mitchell native, who coached at Aberdeen Roncalli and Aberdeen Central before coming to O'Gorman, where he's won for 'AA' titles in eight seasons.

Other finalists include Josh Mueller, a former assistant under Murphy at DWU, Northern State assistant Matt Sevareid, and Matt Wilber, current Director of Tibbs Basketball and a former assistant to Murphy at the University of Sioux Falls.

The finalists are expected on campus in Mitchell this week.

HoopDirt.com says Wesleyan received 122 applications for the job.
