IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - Iowa Board of Regents President Craig Lang says he's asked for more information about events that led to the resignation of a University of Iowa athletics department counselor accused of improperly touching student-athletes.

Lang said board leaders held a conference call Monday to discuss the case of Peter Gray, who resigned last week after working at the athletics department for a decade.

An internal report obtained by the Iowa City Press-Citizen shows that Gray, associate director of athletic student services, was found to have violated the university's sexual harassment policy.

The report says Gray made some athletes uncomfortable with touching that included shoulder massages and hugging - behaviors dating back to his earlier employment with the university in the 1990s.

A phone number for Gray is disconnected.
