Sgt. Pete Jaros of the Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office says a man wanted for rape was taken into custody while he was preparing to leave South Dakota.

"Michael Brisson was located in the 1600 block of South Rock Creek Drive by detectives from the Sheriff's Office Task Force. They developed information that he may be at a building in an apartment complex with somebody who may be getting to move to Florida. Detectives saw a moving van and talked to the person it was rented to. After a short interview with the person, he was located in the apartment and taken into custody without incident."

Brisson was wanted on two felony warrants from second and fourth degree rape. Jaros says the charges came about from allegations of multiple incidents of rape involving a 15-year-old girl.
