The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has issued a warning. You may want to uninstall the popular media player, QuickTime,  because it could open up your computer to hackers.

Security experts posted a blog last week that Apple is not providing security updates for the Windows version of QuickTime. But, CBS News reported there are what are being called critical bugs found in the software.

There haven't been any known attacks, but experts warn that the program is vulnerable. The only way to protect your system from those vulnerabilities is to uninstall QuickTime. Mac users, you don't have to worry about QuickTime vulnerabilities because it only affects PC users.

To uninstall from a PC, click on Uninstall QuickTime 7 on the control panel. The steps are also posted on Apple's website.
