Puzzle Pieces Still Scattered In Iowa Death Case

There is still a lot of uncertainty surrounding an elderly couple found dead in their home in Akron, Iowa.  

Esther Neunaber and her husband, Donald Neunaber, were found on July 9. Their son, Jonathan Neunaber was charged with one count of first-degree murder of Esther Neunaber. According to court documents, Jonathan Neunaber admitted to intentionally killing his mother.

Officials have determined that Esther died of blunt-force injuries and her death was ruled a homicide. How Donald Neunaber died is currently a mystery as tests are still being conducted to determine exact cause and time of death.
