The archery deer season in South Dakota is less than one month away. Tomorrow is the day you can set up your temporary tree stands.

Archery hunters are allowed to set up temporary stands or blinds from August 25 through February 15. Anything left unattended must have the name and address or the year and current applicable big game license number of the owner or user on the exterior of the stand. It must be visible from the ground.

Stands may not use nails, wire or bolts. It may use one screw-in "T" to stabilize the stand.
