KEYSTONE, S.D. (AP) - A prescribed burn will take place Tuesday at Mount Rushmore National Memorial.

The park says the burn is needed to reduce accumulated slash piles.

The burn will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will cover approximately 30 acres.

Visitors to the park may see drifting smoke and haze throughout the week because of the burn.
